Fit FAQs

What if I am between sizes?

If you are between sizes, we recommend sizing up or down based on what fit type you would prefer, and based on how you plan to wear the piece. Our knitted merino is stretchy and you could realistically go with either size. If you would prefer an Athletic fit, size down. If you prefer a Regular or Relaxed fit, size up.

Do I need to size up/down to layer?

Generally, no, you do not need to purchase a different size than normal. Our base layers are designed to fit right into your current layering system. They are also designed to work with other products in our line, too. You may wish to adjust your sizing if you plan to wear one of our garments in a way that it is not intended, if that's the case please feel free to contact our customer service team for help.

Does your clothing run true to size?

Yes, our clothing runs true to size and is sized similar to most other American brands. If a sizing discrepancy is discovered, you will see fit advice in that product's specific listing.

Moisture Wicking

Minus33 Merino Wool regulates the amount of moisture on your skin by absorbing any moisture or sweat on your body. Then, the absorbed moisture evaporates out of the fabric into the atmosphere.

Anti-Microbial

Merino Wool fibers naturally reject any bacteria in moisture or sweat as it is wicked away, so foot fungus and smelly odor will not be a problem while wearing our products.

Insulates When Wet

Wool will absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture without feeling wet or clammy. If you do get wet, wool will insulate you better than cotton or polyester materials.

Fire Resistant

Merino Wool insulates against high temperatures and does not readily catch fire. If it does, it self-extinguishes. When Merino burns, it doesn’t melt and stick to the skin like synthetic fabrics do.

Renewable

Merino Wool has a low environmental footprint and naturally returns to the elements. Shear a merino sheep in the morning, and in the afternoon they’re happily nibbling their way towards renewing next season’s clip.

bottoms

This is a good company and a good product. I just received my second set of base layer bottoms and I am looking forward to using them next winter. My previous bottoms were wool, very soft and I particularly enjoyed the quality of the elastic waist band. It seems that so many bottoms have weak waist bands that won't hold up. I had a minor customer service issue to which the company responded in a completely satisfactory manner. I recommend this company and its products.

Super comfy and perfect fit.

This base layer is great! Kept me warm on a recent backcountry trip and it fits like a glove. I’m 6’2”, 200 lbs and the large was 👌🏻. Definitely going to be my go to on future trips.
