Fit FAQs

What if I am between sizes?

If you are between sizes, we recommend sizing up or down based on what fit type you would prefer, and based on how you plan to wear the piece. Our knitted merino is stretchy and you could realistically go with either size. If you would prefer an Athletic fit, size down. If you prefer a Regular or Relaxed fit, size up.

Do I need to size up/down to layer?

Generally, no, you do not need to purchase a different size than normal. Our base layers are designed to fit right into your current layering system. They are also designed to work with other products in our line, too. You may wish to adjust your sizing if you plan to wear one of our garments in a way that it is not intended, if that's the case please feel free to contact our customer service team for help.

Does your clothing run true to size?

Yes, our clothing runs true to size and is sized similar to most other American brands. If a sizing discrepancy is discovered, you will see fit advice in that product's specific listing.

Learn About Layering

Why Merino Wool?

Moisture Wicking

Minus33 Merino Wool regulates the amount of moisture on your skin by absorbing any moisture or sweat on your body. Then, the absorbed moisture evaporates out of the fabric into the atmosphere.

Anti-Microbial

Merino Wool fibers naturally reject any bacteria in moisture or sweat as it is wicked away, so foot fungus and smelly odor will not be a problem while wearing our products.

Insulates When Wet

Wool will absorb up to 30% of its weight in moisture without feeling wet or clammy. If you do get wet, wool will insulate you better than cotton or polyester materials.

Fire Resistant

Merino Wool insulates against high temperatures and does not readily catch fire. If it does, it self-extinguishes. When Merino burns, it doesn’t melt and stick to the skin like synthetic fabrics do.

UV Protection

Don’t worry about sunburn on a sunny day summiting a peak. Lightweight layers have a UPF rating of 25. Midweight and Expedition have a UPF rating of 50+.

Renewable

Merino Wool has a low environmental footprint and naturally returns to the elements. Shear a merino sheep in the morning, and in the afternoon they’re happily nibbling their way towards renewing next season’s clip.

TOTAL EASY CARE

MACHINE WASH AND DRY

Total Easy Care (TEC) Merino apparel is designed for today's busy lifestyle. Total Easy Care Merino garments are all machine-washable, and are suitable for tumble drying.

Even after frequent laundering they retain an 'as new' appearance. They won't shrink, lose their shape, fade or color-bleed. They remain soft and comfortable for the life of the garment.

It's a must have in my gear inventory..

On my 3rd one of these. I wear them for all kinds of fall/ winter/ spring activities from hunting to cross country skiing. Once this one wears out, I guarantee I'll be buying a fourth. Best design so far on the arm cuffs and thumb holes.

Such a great top! Thank you for your review.

It’s great! Comfortable durable shirt. Just fine next to the skin. I just wish there was more color options.

Outstanding!

I absolutely love the quality of this 1/4 zip expedition pullover. Like my other minus 33 purchases, it's well worth the cost!

Read this...Stellar Expedition Merino

This is by far the best Merino Wool Pull-over I have ever owned. I have had 3 prior from other companies, buy none that match this quality. I love the Expedition weight, and handy chest-pocket, plus hidden hand warmer feature. You gotta own one of these if you spend anytime outdoors. I plan on using mine for Backpacking and maybe en my cold night Runs. Thx again Minus33 for such a great product...I'll be back for more items for sure!

Should be in everyone's backpack

If your not wearing it, you should have it with you.

Warmer than most heavy sweatshirts with half the weight. No stink and as versitle as a Swiss-Army knife. I loom forward to the hooded version
