Midweight Everyday Knit Cuff Beanie 100% Merino Wool

Kept our heads dry and warm without being too hot during our 12hour hiking days. It was rainy and VERY windy on some days. Weather in the Arctic Circle is very unpredictable. Merino wool helps with all the above and is very soft, unlike some other types of wool. Material stretches so I was able to wear it over my hair clip & managed to keep in my waist-length hair. Very light to pack.

I absolutely love this beanie. I have several things from Minus33 and they are all great, but this one has easily taken my #1 spot. I've misplaced it a couple of times because I got the black one and I will tear the house apart to find it instead of grabbing another one instead. I took some time to review this to make sure I got it right - it's easy to like something like a beanie on day 1 and hate it a few weeks later after it shrinks or the thread starts to come loose - absolutely no issues at all with this one, it's held up extremely well even when I've left it in the car in the sun, in the trunk in the cold, I've gotten it wet and smashed it up in a backpack and it still looks brand new.The merino wool is so comfortable and warm without being too hot. I can easily wear this in the spring, fall, and winter, whether it's just a bit cool and breezy that day or there's a foot of snow on the ground. I wore this in several midwest snowstorms and honestly forgot I was wearing it. Usually these are either not warm enough or they get so hot you start sweating which is even worse, but this one just blends right in and easily does its job and stays out of the way.And as someone with a rather large head (I wear a 7 3/4 in most "fitted" caps if that helps) this is super comfortable and has room to spare. In short - super comfortable in most seasons, I recommend grabbing a few in different colors (especially if like me you tend to lose things) and keep one ready to go all the time.

My dad went from living in Hawaii to living with us in the Deep South. He is not used to occasional cold fronts and is easily chilled. We are a sub tropical climate and an acrylic hat just makes you miserable and hot. Wool however is temperature regulating. So you will not overheat and get that clammy, chilled feeling. Merino wool is much softer and doesn’t have that scratchy feel. 100% wool is an absolute must to avoid over heating. Wool is great for keeping you cooler when your hot and keeping you warm when your cold. My father used to run marathons and would wear very thin 100% merino wool under shirts to wick sweat and maintain proper temperature. He wears a size 7 1/4 hat and this fits him great. It has a nice tight weave, is soft & is a deep, rich navy blue.

I ordered this winter hat as a backup if I lose my favorite hat that I'm already using. Sure enough, I guess I had perfect timing when I ordered this hat, because I lost my favorite hat when I was helping a friend shovel their driveway. I was bummed out, but delighted that I had my back up. The material is very light and feels thin. The good thing I was thinking that it will be breathable and I won't get too hot. The other side of that coin was that I was thinking that it wasn't going to keep my head very warm at all. To my surprise, this hat did a fantastic job keeping my head warn out in these frigid temperatures and 3 hours of snow shoveling later, this hat did the trick with keeping my head nice and warm the entire time. Although it's breathable, it did a great job keeping that balance w/o making my head sweat all that much, while being able to hear my surroundings and fending off that wretched wind chill.Overall, this hat is very comfortable and soft, not too tight, and just right. It won't let you down, as it hasn't let me down.

This is a very luxurious merino wool hat, it’s incredibly soft. Was a little skeptical after reading other reviews but wow it’s actually really soft and smooth. Feels nice on the head and very warm. Got it for my son for Christmas!

Love this hat! I live in minnesota and wear this hat almost daily in the winter. I have washed it several times with no issues. It keeps my head nice and warm. I want to get more colors!

Very comfortable, warm and cozy, great material, fairly easy to clean, I wash it and air dry it and it hasn't shrunk. Very happy with this beanie.

The beans is warm and comfy (though I have not had it in really cold weather yet). Minue33 handled the order and shipping promptly. My only reservation is their logo on the outside of the hat -- I prefer not be be a billboard (though in mitigation it is a small logo). I would recommend this hat.

Quality beanie soft and comfy.

PRO: Very warm even though it is not thick. Beautiful blue color.

CONS: It pills very quickly and quite noticeably. After about 3 wearings of just walking the dog around the neighborhood (no heavy duty activities), it started to pill. After about a month of wear, it looks older than my 20 year old polar fleece hat.

Minus33 kindly sent me a replacement but it did the same thing. I kept it because I really like the color and the warmth. But I will only wear it walking the dog or when I won't run into people I know. It's that ratty looking. Disappointed.

Minus33, please find a new manufacturer! I'll buy two more hats if you can make it without excessive pilling.

I like this functional winter cap. It is well made and keeps my head warm on winter hikes. The thing I like the most is that unlike other caps I've tried this cap has the length to pull down all the way over my ears. I would recommend this cap

I ordered two mid weight cuff beanies . Ordering and shipping was straight forward and fast . These beanies are not itchy at all and very stretchy . They would probably fit someone that wears a size 8 hat . I would recommend this beanie .

This wool hat was soooo warm on my freezing vacation and everyone complemented me on its gorgeous bright blue hue. I have already hand washed and dried it and it came out great.

My husband shaves his head so gets cold easily. He loves these the most as they are super warm but not bulky.
