Benefits of Merino Wool
Nice quality fabric! Would purchase again.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts on our Microweight Women’s Wool Racerback Tank Top – Woolverino. We’re thrilled to hear you’re enjoying it!
Our Woolverino fabric is designed to feel incredibly soft and lightweight while still delivering the natural performance benefits of high‑quality Merino wool. Even in a microweight knit, the fibers remain durable, smooth against the skin, and comfortable for all‑day wear.
One of the biggest advantages of Merino is how well it wicks moisture. The wool pulls sweat away from the body and releases it into the air, helping you stay dry even during high‑intensity activity. And unlike synthetic fabrics that can trap heat, Merino regulates temperature naturally — meaning this tank will help keep you cool and comfortable during the hot summer months, not just warm in the winter.
We’re grateful you chose Minus33, and we’re glad the Woolverino tank is working so well for you. If you ever have questions or want help finding your next piece, we’re here for you!

I typically wear 18W/1X/2X/XXL in US women's sizes. Size XXL fits me fine. The top is form-fitting, but not tight. It doesn't itch. The material is lighter than I expected. I haven't yet had a chance to really put it to the test in the worst winter conditions, but I am sure it will be adequate for my needs.
My wife is all about merino wool and has been very happy with this one. Plenty comfortable and cool but she did mention a couple things to be aware of just style wise. It is definitely a racer-back so not a ton of coverage and that includes the front with a fairly low neckline. She likes things a little longer and wouldn't mind some more length here but it's not too short. Pretty low under the arms too. Something else to note is that this shirt isn't noticeably see through but it is somewhat thin. To be clear this isn't a reflection on the quality but just an observation that somethings might be visible through it. All around a piece we like though.
I love this tank top! I have always been a little on the sweaty side, but after my last child was born, I am usually a literal hot mess, even in the winter. For this reason, I have been trying to slowly transition my wardrobe to mostly natural (wool, cotton, linen) or tech fabrics, since they make me sweat less and help with odors. Unfortunately, I can sometimes be sensitive to wool, even merino. The merino blend of this tank feels incredibly soft and smooth against my skin and causes me no itching. It is breathable, and in the black color I ordered, not see through. I wore it alone as a tank top since it is hot right now, but plan to use it as a base layer this winter. The cut is similar to Old Navy's "EveryWear" tanks, but a size smaller. The material is stretchy, but a little clingy. I did order a large in this top even though I usually wear a size medium in tanks, and other than it being lower cut at the bust than I prefer, I like the fit (see my photos). For size reference, I am 5 foot 7, weigh 165 pounds, have a 36C bust, narrow shoulders, short torso, carry most of my weight in the tummy, and wear a US women's size 10 (medium at Old Navy and H&M).Overall, I like both the style of this tank top and the softness of the material, though it does seem to run one size small. I would not hesitate to order it again.

This is not a top to wear on its own because it's so thin, but that's perfect if you want to wear it under something, because it's not thick and heavy. Love wool for its breathability and odor control over multiple wearings.
Thank you so much for your feedback! We're glad to hear that the piece works perfectly as a lightweight under-layer for you. Wool truly is a fantastic material for breathability and odor control, and we're happy it's meeting your expectations. If you ever have any questions or need recommendations for layering options, we're here to help!

Minus33 are the best base layers, and worth the price. Don’t bother with cheaper alternatives. This tank is cut well, neckline is low enough to wear the tank under other shirts without it showing, the cut at shoulder and armpit is comfortable without showing bra. Looks nice enough to wear alone. Lies well as a base layer. Just what I was looking for. Medium fits me perfectly. Would likely be fine for someone bustier too.
I have had my wool tank top for about nine months and I still love it. It’s been washed and dried many times, but still looks good. I love the fact that wool does not hold smells. I have the tank top and I have longsleeve wool tops and love them all. They are so warm and soft.
I ordered my first Minus33 Merino Wool shirt when I was going to Canada last year in the middle of February. It was amazing, and kept this born and bred southerner toasty warm. But when I came home, I realized I wouldn’t need to wear it more than once or twice a season in NC. And even if I got a more lightweight version, I would still have 2 key problems: 1. The neckline on traditional thermal shirts is very high, making layering under normal shirts difficult, and 2. The arms often aren’t tight enough to comfortably layer under a normal shirt. This means I would have trouble wearing it with work clothes, and since I travel for my job, I don’t want to take up a lot of space in my suitcase with layers and sweaters.
Then I found this tank top. It’s amazing. It’s super soft (not itchy at all), keeps my core warm, has a scoop neckline that works even with my v-neck shirts, and without sleeves, solves the problem of bunched up arm layers. It’s perfect. I now have 3 of them. I’ve worn them all winter, and found that I actually wear fewer, thinner, layers to stay warm. They also take up almost zero space in my suitcase! And since merino wool is odor resistant, you can go several wearings without having to wash, which again makes it perfect to travel with. It may seem pricey at first, but try one. You won’t be disappointed.
Very soft (as are all my other Minus 33 items, which have all held up great in the washer and dryer). This shirt is 10 grams lighter than a black cotton I have that's the same cut, but it's not sheer. Perfect weight for a tank. Really high quality seams and material.
I have liked everything I've purchased from Minus 33 -- and a little better than Icebreaker, especially when it comes to fit.
I bought this for a trip to Ireland where temperatures go up and down through the day. It was perfect!! I was comfortable and able to add and remove layers. I could wear this as a tank top as well. Very soft!
Love the quality & attention getting it to me..

Very comfortable , stable trim fit, maintain perfect degree of warmth.
This shirt is very good quality. It runs on the large side. If you wear a medium order small. I will definitely purchase another.
This is a fabulous base layer top that I reach for a lot when it's cooler outside. I tried wearing it on a few hot days too but prefer wool for cooler days. It really does breathe remarkably well and wicks away the moisture. I'm really impressed that it isn't stinky even after wearing it on a camping trip that went on longer than expected where I didn't take it off for a few days...I have a few more pieces from this company and they are worth every penny. Wardrobe staples.
I waited six weeks for the garment to arrive. Then the medium size that I ordered was too big, although that is my go-to size. Very disappointed all round, and to the tune of over $100 Canadan
I’ve bought a few of these and love them , size runs small at times not sure if sized wrong periodically, but overall lightweight, great for outdoors and doesn’t retain heat , use as a base layer or tank too
Great fit, style and quality! This tank top is great for running or as a base layer. I love the extra length and the fact it is a bit flowy.
My favorite summer piece! Glad you love it so much! Thank you for your review.
the cut and style of this tank is perfect. love the way it fits and runs true to size. just as great for daily wear as well as it is for playing. highly recommend!
So light & breathable too! Thank you for your review!
Perfect under long sleeve base layer for skiing!
