Product Story
Saratoga [sar-uh-toh-guh]
The battles of Saratoga in 1777 are generally regarded as the turning point in the American War of Independence. The Continental Army’s superior force and the extreme determination of its soldiers won the day. Saratoga National Historical Park serves as a preservation site today for the battlegrounds. Nearby Saratoga Lake has a long history of boating, rowing, and fishing.

Benefits of Merino Wool
Great to take the edge off of cool 40-degree day. Very comfortable. No issues with the fit.
I bought the lightweight base layer (bottom and top) in black. They are great and don’t constrain movement. I wear them in the house and out in the cold. I think my favorite characteristic is that they genuinely don’t smell after wearing and I wear them several times before washing, so especially good for travel.
The lightweight men's bottom base layer are perfect for cycling in cooler weather. The wind doesn't go through them. So far these are the best base layers, the shirt and the bottoms, that I have worn so far.
- They genuinely don't smell after wearing and I wear them several times before washing
- So very soft and warm and last for years!
- The most comfortable, technical, base layer on the market

Been using Minus33 for years now. I’ve had many brands, these are the best all around. Be even better if they were made in USA. You should work on that Minus33.
Thank you so much for the 5-star review and for being such a loyal Minus33 customer! We’re honored to be your go-to! We’re glad you mentioned U.S. manufacturing. While some of our products are made internationally, we’re proud to say that we have a large sock line made right here in New Hampshire. We’ll continue to grow with this in mind, and your support means the world to us.

Comfy and warm
These long bottoms are good quality but they're made in China. Also the sizes are inconsistent, I like to buy the size L boxer briefs because I like the loose comfort so I also buy these in size L but they're too tight. These in size XL is equivalent to the size L boxer briefs.
Rickard,

Nice quality, perfect fit and good price
Thank you for the kind review! We're glad you're happy with the product.
Soft and comfortable. Hopefully they will last longer than the other brand I had previously. Great to wear when there’s just a little nip in the air.
Fits great. I wear them under my old Johnson wool pants and hunt the big woods all day comfortably. Thank God for wool.
Jesse!
We are thankful for wool every day. Thank you for leaving us a review!

I absolutely love every minus33 Merino wool product I've ever purchased. So very soft and warm and last for years! A little expensive, but worth it to me because I work outside regardless of weather. Also of a much higher quality AND LESS EXPENSIVE than a certain other popular US brand.
Johnny,
Happy to hear that you love our products.
Thank you for the great review!

Glad I invested in these. I will be getting a midweight set to go with them in the near future. Fit snug, but not too tight. Only complaint is length is just a little short for me, could be a tiny bit longer.
I bought these to give to my son for Christmas so I can’t say how he will like them but……I have loved every other item I have ordered, and I have order quite a bit. The material is soft and very comfortable.
Daisey,
Thank you for being such a great customer. We are happy that you and your son like the products you already have. Be sure to let us know when he has the chance to wear the 100% Merino Wool Saratoga Men's Bottom - Lightweight.

Since I started to wear Minus33 Saratoga tops and bottoms they have become my 2nd skin. I has always cold when I wore cotton thermo, I realize now that I was wet with sweat = cold. I now layer wool and am amazed at how warm I stay, with lighter and less bulky clothes.
Kerry & Joy,
We are glad to hear that you are now staying Warm and dry while wearing Your Minus33 tops and bottoms. Thank you for the wonderful review!

My favorite base layer by far......I've tried them all and minus33 is the most comfortable, technical, base layer on the market.
Alan,
Thank you for the fabulous review, keep warm!

16 degrees when I tried them first time.
They made a real difference.
Thanks,

Fits great, perfect weight, and well made!
After trying other brands (no idea why) I continue to come back to minus 33. Made this purchase for sleeping on overnight hikes, but found myself wearing daily in the New England winters. Very soft and comfortable. Follow the care instructions and Minus 33 will last a very long time.
Bob,
We are pleased to hear that you are enjoying your Minus33 items. Thank you for the great review and keep warm!
-Melinda W.
Keeps you comfortable even in mid to high 70s temps.

Thank you for the great review, and stay comfy!

For as thin as they are, which is nice they aren’t bulky, they are warm. They worked good under shorts for a snow 5k turkey trot
Mark,
Thanks for the great review! We are pleased to hear that your Minus33 Saratoga Men's Bottoms kept you comfortable while running the 5K turkey trot.

Fit is great. Perfect as a light base layer for Nordic skiing and cold morning runs.
Good overall baselayer for the mountains. Have probably 3 pairs I rotate through for skiing, climbing, sledding. The tall size is what makes it for me, but everything else is pretty great.
High quality, good fitting and excellent wear resistance
I purchased these for my husband as he likes to walk outdoors, even when it’s very cold with temps in the ‘teens’. His legs would get really cold just wearing a pair of heavy denim jeans. With these merino wool bottoms, he stays toasty warm outside! He says they’re comfortable and they don’t itch.
I wear them with my lined Woolrich Malone overall bib (no one sells a lined wool bib anymore, btw) and I am never cold. The cuffs work well to keep the legs all the way down. Excellent purchase, nice to do business just down the road.
Thanks for sharing your experience with our product so far!
