Heavyweight 380 Men's Wool Vest Wilderness

Great, now I need to throw out all my other thermals! Thank you for making such amazing products. Warm, comfortable, stylish and I also love what your company stands for and customer service went above and beyond to help get our gear to us quickly before our last trip.

If this were 4 to 6 inches shorter, I would love it. I like the weight and the material - great for outdoor activities and it looks great dressed up a bit. I'm 5'8" so the Medium comes down to my crotch. I suggest you offer it in a least two lengths and warn prospective buyers to check the length measurement.

I like this vest a lot but it's lighter weight than I had hoped it would be. I would gladly pay twice as much for one that is twice as heavy.

Love the feel & light weight. I figure the red/orangish tint will protect me en route anywhere … but especially in the wild. Originally planned to gift it but decided I was the optimal recipient!

Well made and fits well but the colors run. I wore mine once and I washed per the instructions and the black dye from the inside of the collar bled all over the vest so it constantly looks dirty. So in my closet it hangs as I can't bring myself to throw it away.

Smooth, sleek and warm! I bought this for my son since his school spends a lot of time outdoors. It's a great layering piece that adds warmth without bulk. He's 13 and wearing a men's large. He loves it and honestly, it looks really refined on him. We are very pleased with this item and I would highly recommend it.

I doesn’t expect much from this vest, but gave it a shot as a mid layer under my Kuiu and Forloh hunting jackets. It is exactly what the doctor ordered. It is a double layer fabric with excellent stitching and served me well in Wyoming for deer season. It’s the best mid layer vest I’ve ever owned. 5’11”, 225 lbs, chesty, an XL fits perfectly.

I wear this vest a lot around the house, office and under my outer layer jacket when hiking. The cut of the vest is more silhouette, so it fits neatly under an overlayer and looks clean and neat over a shirt.

Not too bulky. Just right under my Bino harness.

The Wilderness Wool Vest is the perfect shoulder season layer for any outdoor activity (skiing, hiking, biking, you name it) it is light weight, warm, and comfortable and seems very well made. It is also very attractive so can be worn as a casual over-layer. And it is made with all natural merino wool which is a big environmental plus over many other outdoors fabrics. I love this vest!

The vest works great under whatever mid- or outer layers you need to put over it. So far I have used it for winter trout fishing, where I never feel quite warm enough, and alpine skiing. I have lots of vests for all purposes, but this is a great addition for adding that extra warm layer that you won't even notice is there, except for the extra warmth.

Multipurpose.
Great with jean, t-shirts. Great for causal, dress or just walking.

Quality product and I'm using it regularly as a layer for my small game hunting. I was hoping it was going to be warmer so I could eliminate the number of layers but not the case. The vest does allow me to adjust the weight of the other layers without increasing bulk in the sleeves so still a plus. With that understanding, I would recommend it.

In spite of the things I like about this vest....warmth and feel...the ridiculously long length keeps this hanging in my closet. If I do take it out, I tuck it in, not exactly fulfilling its role as a vest.

I am a night-shift nurse and was looking for a functional garment to get through my shift on those chilly nights in the hospital. It's been exactly what I was looking for. Form-fitting, functional, simple, and warmth without bulk. I love the high collar and slightly extended length. Exactly what the doctor ordered...

It's all in the technique of laying, the garment works beautifully when combine with other heavier pieces of material. This make in my opinion a functional as well as versatile component to any layering system.

Figured I'd buy gifts for Christmas, love love Minus 33 clothing. I'm sure my grandsons will be impressed.

Unfortunately the really high cut collar is very uncomfortable. I want to love this vest but because of the collar it spends a lot of time hanging on a peg instead of being worn.

Having worn wool for most of my outdoor life, I have learned to appreciate fine wool garments. What makes Minus 33 wool clothing so outstanding and exceptional is its fine wool, fine craftsmanship and it knit. It is such a pleasure to wear such a fine wool garment from Minus 33. I am so looking forward to my next Minus 33 wool garment. Let us not forget about the sustainability of wool.

I was looking for a thick warm wool vest to give me insulation under my sailing jacket. I like this vest, it is well made and fits nice, but it does not meet my needs. When I took it out of the box, I was skeptical since it is about as thick as a woman's cardigan. I figured it must be made of some magic fabric since the reviews are so high and gave it a chance. Not impressed. Hiking with additional layers, cold. Sitting and drinking beer with other layers and a moderately cold day in Maryland, cold. Sorry to be a downer but I feel this thing needs to be about twice as thick to live up to this hype. I havent taken it sailing yet, I plan to, but will be bring many additional layers.

Soft, warm, and good weight. Excellent layer over base layer for mid temps and under jacket for colder. Zippered pockets on the outside are great for travel, interior pockets are functional and the collar is high enough to keep your neck warm. Overall excellent

I liked the vest overall. The size was a little small and the fit is snug. But I will be layering the vest so overall good. Happy with the purchase.

I got this vest for a recent trip to Israel and Jordan. It gets a lot colder there than people realize and this vest was great at helping to keep me warm. It packs small, keeps my core warm, doesn’t require frequent washing (thank you merino) and is constructed to last a long time.
