How to Measure

Chest: Measure the circumference around the fullest part of your chest, underneath the arms.

Waist: Measure the circumference around the natural waist, near the belly button.

Sleeve: Measure from your center back neck, to the elbow, to the wrist.

Shirt Length: This measurement refers to the approximate size of the shirt back length, from the neck to the bottom hem.

Inseam: Measure from the center of the crotch to the end of the ankle.

Fits best as: Base Layer

Skin tight, slim, compression style fit. Wear this layer first and add on top of it if needed.

Fits best as: Base Layer, Mid Layer

True to size, standard fit with a little bit of room to breathe, but not too baggy. Perfect on its own or with a t-shirt or thin shirt underneath.

Fits best as: Mid Layer, Insulating Layer, Outer Layer

A little more room than you would find in a Regular fit. Enough space to fit 1-2 layers underneath.

Fit FAQs

What if I am between sizes?

If you are between sizes, we recommend sizing up or down based on what fit type you would prefer, and based on how you plan to wear the piece. Our knitted merino is stretchy and you could realistically go with either size. If you would prefer an Athletic fit, size down. If you prefer a Regular or Relaxed fit, size up.

Do I need to size up/down to layer?

Generally, no, you do not need to purchase a different size than normal. Our base layers are designed to fit right into your current layering system. They are also designed to work with other products in our line, too. You may wish to adjust your sizing if you plan to wear one of our garments in a way that it is not intended, if that's the case please feel free to contact our customer service team for help.

Does your clothing run true to size?

Yes, our clothing runs true to size and is sized similar to most other American brands. If a sizing discrepancy is discovered, you will see fit advice in that product's specific listing.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I've been wearing the Minus33 Lightweight 100% Merino Wool Crew T-Shirt for work, and it has exceeded my expectations. I spend long days outdoors, often 12 to 14+ hours at a time, in everything from Georgia summer heat and humidity to cooler weather, and this shirt has become one of my favorites.

The biggest thing I've noticed is comfort. The merino wool breathes extremely well, helps regulate temperature, and manages moisture far better than cotton. Even when I'm sweating, the shirt doesn't feel wet and clammy like a traditional cotton T-shirt. It stays comfortable throughout the day and dries quickly.

Another major benefit is odor resistance. I can wear it for multiple days when traveling, camping, or working long shifts, and it stays fresher than any synthetic shirt I've owned. The fabric is soft against the skin, not itchy, and comfortable enough to wear all day.

The fit is practical and works well as either a standalone shirt or a base layer. Despite being lightweight, it has held up well to regular use and washing.

I've become a big fan of Minus33 products in general, and this shirt is one of the reasons why. If you're looking for a high-quality everyday shirt for work, travel, outdoor activities, or simply staying comfortable in changing conditions, I highly recommend it.

I ordered 2 T's, a black one and a gray in size large, both where 2 small and tight,. I returned them for size XL. The new larger size in black fit better, but the grey is still too tight. it fits great in the shoulder but not around the waist and middle. They are also longer that normal
t's which can be annoying on trips to the mens room. The material is very comfortable and the person who helped me with the return was very helpful.

The best I’ve found.
I wear merino wool t-shirts almost all year as a base layer or on their own. This one is the best I’ve found over the past ten years. The neckline reaches my collarbone. The body of the shirt extends 6-8 inches longer than those I own from three other makers. It has the advantages of merino wool, with better design than others I’ve owned.

These are SO comfortable, breathable, and no smell. I already have several long sleeve for hiking & outdoor work in cold weather, so got couple t-shirts for casual wear and under oxford for professional situations (lotta all day exhibit work). Will be getting several more. A little pricey but well worth it. If funds limited, at least get 1-2 for warm weather. You won't regret it!
