Heavyweight Winter Snow Mitten WOOLTEK

I have rather large hands. I can pick up a basketball with one hand on top. I have troubles finding items that fit properly, especially gloves. I was hopeful that these would fit. My palm circumference is right around 10”, the XL size. But, there was no indication of the length. Perhaps not as important for mittens as gloves, but it would have been nice if there were finger or hand lengths also specified. Still, I decided to go ahead and order the XL.Happily these fit me pretty well. I certainly can get my hand inside without any issues. The thumb is almost the perfect length. It could have been just a tiny bit longer, but it still fit better than most of my gloves. The length for the other fingers is alright. My hand naturally curves a bit wearing these, which is still comfortable just walking about and certainly fine when I’m grasping something. I can fully stretch out my fingers straight ahead, but that does seem a bit tight. Still, I am very pleased with the fit on my large hands.The quality seems very good. No lose threads or bad stitching. The quality of the materials seems appropriate and durable. There’s a cord to tighten the gauntlet, a small strap that can be used to hang these with the opening hanging down to dry out, and there’s a wrist strap that can be used so you can remove the mittens and have them still attached to you. All very thoughtful features.Of course, how warm these keep you is what’s most important. I used to have a wonderful set of mittens similar to these, although they were a bit thicker. I was a little concerned that these may not be as warm as I wanted, but so far they have worked wonderfully. I haven’t skied in years, but I still ride a motorcycle year round. It rarely gets below freezing here, but even at only 35° it can seem really cold at highway speeds. I have worn these at night at temperatures just above freezing and my hands have been warm and comfortable. These certainly keep my hands warmer than any of my gloves do. I also have silk glove liners I could wear with these, but so far haven’t felt the need for them. While I’ll likely never go on some arctic expedition, I do believe that these will keep my hands warm at temperatures well below freezing.I certainly can recommend these Minus33 mittens. Well constructed, accurate sizing and keeps my hands warm at temperatures down to freezing with 75 MPH winds.

This mitten is well made. The lining material feels soft and comfortable. The shell is leather, it is soft, no issue with hand movement. The mitten does not feel too thick but the material feels heavy duty. I have big hands, usually wear medium and this mitten is small but still feels roomy. I would probably wear a glove liner with this mitten.

100% giftable. These are great quality gloves. They are great for warmer days on the slopes. They are not bulky and are easy to grip with. The color is great. They come with straps that go on your wrists. Really comes in handy when you want to quickly remove a glove and to avoid dropping them. There’s a clip to keep the pair together. It is extremely easy to put on, tighten, and remove. I’ve demonstrated that in the video. Again these are great quality so they would be a great gift. They are not super thick, so for colder days you can easily add a layer by wearing any fingered gloves inside.

It hasn't quite gotten cold enough to put these gloves through their paces, but I have high hopes for them. These mittens are lined with very soft wool and feel great on my hands. The grips and back of the gloves are lined with leather to help grip things like a snow blower handle or snow shovel. There is an elastic band near the wrist and a cinch further up on the warm to help keep wind out.These gloves also have several futures to help stop you from losing them. You can use the wrist bands at the top to take them off without having them accidentally fall. They also have clips to hold them together when you are storing them.Being mittens, they don't provide much dexterity, but can be used to grip a cold steering wheel. They don't provide enough dexterity to clean up after my dog though.Overall, I recommend these gloves for winter activities where you aren't going to need to use fine motor skills.

These mittens saved my skiing during the '26 February freeze. Paired with a pair of liners (Minus 33) my hands stayed toasty warm for the day with no breaks! The mittens and liners are very well made and fit my oversize paws. I highly recommed them.

A good quality mitten. The extra cuff length helps keep the cold from slipping in between my jacket and mitten. The mitten is flexible enough for me to hold onto my dog's retractable leash. Highly recommend these mittens.

This is the perfect glove for skiing, warmth, style, and some light duty snow shoveling. The quality and materials are great and the interior is perfect. For the things it can do, this is the best glove. If I only owned two pairs of gloves, it would be these Minus 33 mittens, and a pair of Vermont Gloves. If you are in the market for gloves, I can recommend exactly those two gloves.

These are very high quality mittens! As someone who prefers to wear liners under their mittens (keeps your fingers warm if you need to pull your hand out for a minute), I appreciate that these mittens have enough room to make that comfortable. The gloves are well-made and should last through a lot of use. The wool lining gives them a great additional layer of warmth. And the long cuffs that fit over your coat sleeves gives even more protection. I highly recommend them!

These mittens mean business. I wore them on a ski trip where it was freezing and snowy, and they held up perfectly. One of my favorite features is the wrist coverage, the cuffs are long enough to go over my jacket sleeves, sealing out the cold. Plus, they have large, sturdy carrying straps that easily slip over your wrists, way better than the flimsy straps most mittens have.Just know that these are big, heavyweight gloves and they lean toward men’s sizing, so size down if you have smaller hands. They’re not heated, but honestly, they’re warm enough that I didn’t miss it. Solid choice for cold-weather adventures.

The fit is comfortable, offering enough flexibility for handling gear, though they can feel a bit bulky. The wool-polyester lining is incredibly warm, and the palms are reinforced with soft leather, which is durable without stiffening in the cold. The built-in leashes are a great touch for convenience when I need to remove them briefly.

I'm a big fan of Minus33 merino wool clothing and have several items I wear regularly, including their underwear which is my favorite underwear ever. So, I was excited to try their gloves. These did not disappoint! They are extremely well made (as you'd expect at this price point). You could wear them with or without a liner pair of gloves but for extreme cold you'd probably want a thin liner in addition to these. I love the two tone look of them. The yellow leather section is made with high quality leather which has a lovely feel to it. The gloves are supple and comfy to wear. They are expensive but the quality is top notch.

Got them big to stack with other gloves but these somehow maintain some dexterity. Build quality is excellent, included wrist leashes are great and the gauntlet-style is nice and easy to slip on over bulky jacket sleeves.The wool insulation seems like a bit of a trade-off as it's not the warmest. The insulation feels pretty thin compared to some synthetic-fill mittens I have (that were also half the price), but in theory the wool will stay warmer than synthetic if I manage to get these soaking wet. For hiking ~20F temps, these were great stacked with a liner gloves and thin synthetic glove but I don't think they'd be warm enough for me while skiing with ONLY a liner inside. I'll probably use them more for mountaineering where I like to do that 2-glove/1-mitten stack and prioritize dexterity.

I wouldn't grade these mittens as harshly if it weren't for: a) the rather eye-popping price, and b) the claims made in the listing.I live in a cold climate and do a lot of activities and exercise outside, so these seemed perfect for me. I wanted something that I'd be equally comfortable in when hitting the cross-country ski trails AND pairing it with a nicer jacket and looking sufficiently put-together to be out in public!These seemed to fit the bill, with high-quality materials and lots of claims about warmth and breathability.Unfortunately, I did not find them up to expectations given the price.- The breathability test: I wore them cross-country skiing and experienced the worst of both worlds: My fingers were too cold (see below for why) and yet were clammy and sweating from the exercise, with no feeling of wicking or breathability—leading to an all-around unpleasant feeling.- Minor issue: they're cute but very shapeless and not quite as refined as I'd hope- They fit large for the sizing, plus the shapeless/bulky size means LOTS of room for your hands underneath—and, as I found the hard way, that is a recipe for cold fingers!- The materials are indeed nice but they are surprisingly thin in addition to being nowhere near as warm as I'd expected.
