Fit FAQs

What if I am between sizes?

If you are between sizes, we recommend sizing up or down based on what fit type you would prefer, and based on how you plan to wear the piece. Our knitted merino is stretchy and you could realistically go with either size. If you would prefer an Athletic fit, size down. If you prefer a Regular or Relaxed fit, size up.

Do I need to size up/down to layer?

Generally, no, you do not need to purchase a different size than normal. Our base layers are designed to fit right into your current layering system. They are also designed to work with other products in our line, too. You may wish to adjust your sizing if you plan to wear one of our garments in a way that it is not intended, if that's the case please feel free to contact our customer service team for help.

Does your clothing run true to size?

Yes, our clothing runs true to size and is sized similar to most other American brands. If a sizing discrepancy is discovered, you will see fit advice in that product's specific listing.

The wool blend is good

These boxers have a or of support and do a good job of wicking away moisture. They are a little pricey but good quality. They look good on and feel good close to skin. Snug but not too tight.

Merino wool underwear? What's this gonna be like?

When I think of Merino wool, I often think of thick, warm socks. I found this product so intriguing that I had to try it, though. In reality, it is a lovely, thin material that fuels a little bit like microfiber or rayon, and you can easily see light through the fabric when you hold it up to a bulb. This isn't a bad thing; you probably don't want to wear a wool sweater for underwear. I tend to size up with underwear. I usually wear a size 32 or 33 waist slacks, but I ordered a large in these because I don't want my underwear to be too constricting. These feel great! They aren't too baggy in the legs or too tight in the waistband, and I imagine they will shrink a little as I wash them and then accidentally dry them too long or too hot. These do have a long inseam, so keep that in mind.

Underwear Über Alles

It’s been too long since I reviewed something made by the greatest wool clothing maker in America, specifically located inside a historic mill in Ashland, New Hampshire, but these super comfy, 84% Merino wool boxer briefs from Minus 33 were worth the wait. Speaking of weight, this micro-weight underwear feels so good against the skin, it feels like there’s absolutely nothing there, and that’s because the proprietary Wolverino fabric is a result of weaving their top grade wool around a nylon core with a touch of spandex added for extra flex. The end result is a beautiful moisture wicking, anti-microbial, odor controlling, UV and fire resistant garment that fits perfectly, and is totally renewable and biodegradable. They cost a little bit more, but you are getting top of the line underwear made of top tier fabric with a one year guarantee, and two years if you register them online. I can tell you as a frequent customer that I own socks they made three years ago that have not formed any holes or worn out in the heels. Socks I regularly wear instead of shoes in my yard and driveway by the way. Read the tags I enclosed in my photos, since I’m not about to model these underwear, but rest assured they’re comfortable on larger, lumpier bodies like mine. Nice elastic non-binding waist and leg holes fall about midway down my thigh and stay put without riding up. The fabric feels like silk even though it’s almost all wool, and I’m very excited this company is starting to make other clothes now. I can’t wait to get more. A big YES on Minus 33 underwear!

Comfortable - High Quality - Good guarantee

I always enjoy wearing Merino wool because it is a premium experience. It feels good, wicks away moisture, is cool in the summer, and warm in the winter. These briefs fit well and are attractive. They come with a 2-year guarantee if register them. As you can see from looking at the tag, they also have a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. I consider these guarantees important because the briefs are premium priced.I think they will hold up well, but if they don't I will come back and update this review.

Well-made, with a nice percentage of wool

A review from a woman: The boxers are very well-made and have a great warranty that is noted on the tag. There’s no doubt these are high-quality. Unfortunately, my husband didn’t like the way that they felt because they reminded him of biking shorts. The fabric is nice and lightweight and kind of flowy. It is not at all like spandex from a biking short, just to be clear. But they just weren’t for him. My lesson is this: let your man pick out his own undies. But from my perspective, these are well-made and seem to be all that they are claimed to be. I will say that in the black color they pick up a little bit of lint because of the wool. The material and the construction are top notch.

Best underwear so far & most expensive...

Very good @ wicking. Only underneath the waistband does any moisture build up for me. Very high quality overall, from what I can tell, so far. But, you clearly pay for that.

Best Boxers

These things are amazing in all categories. Support is great. The pouch is really well designed, keeps everything together and forward(when you sit) and roomy. The fabric is quality 80% merino is sooo good and it's soft-softer as any cotton I've had. They are also amazingly odor resistant. They wash easy. I just do cold delicate and hang dry(dryer makes wool degrade faster in my opinion). Sizing is on the bigger side. I'm usually a medium and a small is perfect(you kind of want compression/next to skin). Been about a year now and I work a physical job. Not even any loss in elasticity, snags or tears or any hot spots where the fabric thins. I also hike and I can see these being so much less maintenance on the trail. Thanks M33

So comfy!

Okay, so let's talk about these boxer briefs, because honestly, they've kind of changed my underwear game, and I feel like everyone needs to know about them. First off, just looking at the picture, you see a classic black boxer brief, right? Nothing too flashy, nothing that screams "look at me!" But let me tell you, it's what's on the inside that counts, and these guys are packing some serious comfort. The first thing you notice when you put them on is that, oh my goodness, the pouch support is real. Like, I've tried other brands that claim to have "support," but this is a whole different level. It's like they've actually thought about the male anatomy and designed something that makes sense. No more awkward adjustments throughout the day, no more feeling like things are shifting around when you're trying to be active. It's just...secure. And comfortable! I mean, who knew underwear could be this supportive without feeling restrictive? And speaking of active, these are absolutely perfect for anyone who's on the go. Whether you're hitting the gym, going for a run, or just running errands, they stay put and keep you feeling fresh. I've worn them during some pretty intense workouts, and I've been amazed at how well they wick away moisture and dry quickly. No more chafing, no more that sticky, uncomfortable feeling you get with other underwear. It's like they're a second skin, moving with you and keeping you comfortable no matter what you're doing. But it's not just about the support and performance. The comfort level is off the charts. Seriously, once you try these, you'll never want to go back to regular cotton boxer briefs. The Merino wool is so soft and luxurious, it feels amazing against your skin. And because it's Merino wool, it's naturally temperature regulating, so you stay cool in the summer and warm in the winter. It's like they're designed to keep you comfortable no matter what the weather is like. And you know what else is great? The quality. Minus33 has been around for over 100 years, so they know a thing or two about making good wool products. You can tell these boxer briefs are well-made, with sturdy seams and durable fabric. They're definitely built to last, which is important when you're talking about something you wear every day.Honestly, I can't say enough good things about these boxer briefs. They're comfortable, supportive, and perfect for active lifestyles. If you're looking for a pair of underwear that will keep you feeling confident and comfortable all day long, look no further. These are a must-have for any guy who values performance, comfort, and quality. Trust me, your nether regions will thank you.

Very expensive, but comfortable.

My first merino wool item, and I have to say that I'm impressed! I have been doing a lot of heavy work out in my garage, and the weather is all over the place, between below zero, and into the 70's. I've worn them in both conditions and found they keep me warm when it's cold, and cool when I'm hot and sweaty. Very comfortable, but not too stretchy, so as the day goes on, they tend to get a little baggy. They are insanely expensive, but when you are doing things in extreme conditions, they really do feel like it's worth the cost.

Super Comfortable

These boxers are amazingly comfortable and breathable. They fit true to size with a relaxed silhouette. The quality is excellent and the material is a nice medium weight. They are a bit pricy, but the quality and durability make them worth every penny. Highly recommend!

Soft!

These are very nice and very soft on the skin. I never imagined I would like wool underwear but these are just awesome. They are not itchy at all if that is what you are worried about but instead they are incredibly comfortable. They do wick away moisture which is typical of wool and why I ordered these. While I would like to have another couple of pairs, the price is a bit steep for that.

Unexpected

I live in Louisiana. You think Wool, in this weather? In THAT area?! Except that’s not how these are at all. They’re actually pretty thin, stretchy, comfortable, so easily washable and actually incredibly durable. They’re true to size and I actually feel like they’re really breathable. The benefits of wool combined with a sort of microfiber thinness, would happily buy more of these!

smooth fitting boxers

Materials seem good and I think should last quite a while. They are very comfortable and the band at the top doesn't roll easy like some other boxer briefs do which is nice. All in all, I'd highly recommend these boxers because of their price.

Fantastic underwear

These underwear are great. Merino wool is fantastic. I really wish they did not cost so much money, because I am going to go broke buying one for every day of the week. These are my new favorite boxer briefs.

Wool Mens Pouch Boxer Briefs

I recently purchased the Wool Men's Pouch Boxer Briefs, and I’m really happy with them. The breathable wool material is incredibly soft and comfortable, making these boxers perfect for all-day wear. I love how lightweight and moisture-wicking they are, keeping me cool and dry even during intense workouts or long days at work. The hammock support feature is a standout. It provides excellent support and keeps everything in place, which is a big improvement over other underwear styles I’ve tried. The fit is snug yet comfortable, and the waistband doesn’t dig into my skin, even after wearing them for hours. These boxer briefs are a great option for anyone looking for breathable, athletic, and functional underwear. They feel high-quality and durable, and the wool material gives them an extra layer of comfort. Overall, I highly recommend them for everyday wear, especially for anyone with an active lifestyle.
