Benefits of Merino Wool
Moisture Wicking
Merino wool is the best fiber to regulate moisture. It does this by absorbing sweat from your skin and releasing it into the air. Whether you're hiking, running, biking, on the job, or just relaxing at home, our wool helps keep you dry and comfortable all day long.
Soft & Comfortable
Merino wool fibers are much finer than traditional wool, creating a luxuriously soft feel that won’t itch or irritate your skin. Comfortable enough for everyday wear and gentle enough for sensitive skin, it’s a natural choice for underwear, base layers and next-to-skin comfort.
Highly Breathable
Merino wool’s unique structure allows air to circulate freely, helping to regulate your body temperature in both hot and cold weather conditions. Whether you're layering up for winter or staying cool in summer, Merino keeps you comfortable by letting your skin breathe.
Anti-Microbial
Merino wool naturally resists odor-causing bacteria, keeping you fresher for longer. No lingering smells, even after extended wear. Perfect for travel, outdoor adventures, and everyday life.
Insulates When Wet
Merino wool can hold up to 30% of its weight in moisture without feeling wet or clammy against the skin. Unlike cotton or synthetic fabrics, it keeps insulating when damp, making it a smart choice for unpredictable weather and high-output activity.
Fire Resistant
Merino wool is naturally fire-resistant and self-extinguishing. It will not melt or stick to your skin like synthetic fabrics. A trusted option for first responders, campfire safety, or any high-heat environment.
UV Protection
Our Merino wool clothing helps protect you from the sun’s harmful rays, with different levels of UPF based on fabric weight:
-
Microweight (145 GSM): UPF 20
-
Lightweight (170 GSM): UPF 25
-
Midweight (245 GSM): UPF 50+
-
Heavyweight (400 GSM): UPF 50+
These natural UV-blocking properties make Merino wool ideal for long days or the beach or above treeline.
Renewable and Sustainable
Merino wool is a natural, biodegradable fiber with a low environmental footprint. Grown by Australian Merino sheep and shorn seasonally, it is a renewable material that supports responsible farming practices.

Minus33 Gloves
I bought these gloves because I was looking for a light weight glove with grip. These gloves were awesome, I loved them until they started getting holes in them and fell apart. These gloves are not cheap and the holes turned up after only a few uses. Mostly just driving in them. For $40 gloves to fall apart so quickly is frustrating and disappointing! I reached out to Minus33 and sent them photos and was told that the gloves shouldn't do that, but since they didn't have the black ones in stock, they couldn't send me a new pair. Instead they gave me a 20% off code. I sent multiple follow up emails and never heard back. Seriously, you want me to spend more money for them to fall apart! Be warned, save your money and go somewhere else!
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with our Lightweight Merino Wool Grip-Gloves. We’re truly sorry to hear that your gloves developed holes so quickly — that’s not the level of durability we expect from our products, and we understand how disappointing and frustrating this must have been, especially after only a few uses.
We also apologize for the inconvenience regarding the replacement and for any lapse in communication during your follow‑up emails. That’s not the experience we want our customers to have, and we appreciate you bringing it to our attention.
While the black gloves were out of stock at the time, we should have handled the situation better. We’d really like the opportunity to make this right for you. Please reach out to us directly at info@minus33.com or give us a call at 603‑968‑3351, and our team will work with you to find a solution that meets your expectations.
We value your feedback and will use it to improve both our products and our customer support moving forward.
I already wrote a review on these but it would not let me edit it so I'm just writing review. These gloves are awesome because they keep your hands warm. But the problem is that they develop holes extremely quickly. I wore them six times and didn't really use them much before already having two holes in the fingers. All In All I probably wore them maybe a dozen times. Maybe a few more than that. And all of the fingers completely fell apart. Every single fingertip on both gloves completely fell apart. The palm and the back of the glove held up extremely well but the fingertips are absolute garbage. I really can't imagine what you would possibly use these gloves for. I was refunded for my order. I'm just writing this for the people who work Outdoors during the winter and need something that has a longer life. I work outside all day so to have a $40 pair of gloves only last 6 days before developing holes is crazy. And only about 2 weeks before all of the fingertips fell apart completely (I wish i could attach images, you wouldn't believe it). I've been a customer of Minus33 for many years now and I have definitely noticed a significant drop in quality since they have changed manufacturers. When you guys return to putting out quality products again, let me know and I'll buy some. Until then you've kind of forced me to spend my money elsewhere.
I got these at a discounted price because the regular glove liners they sent fell apart quickly. They said to try these because they're an upgraded version. I got them last Monday and wore em 6 times, including today. There's already 2 holes in these. A hole in each of the tips for the front of the middle finger on each glove. And this happens without any heavy work on them. These are complete trash and definitely wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I can't think how they'd be useful to anyone. The quality of items sold from Minis33 has went way down hill. This is unacceptable garbage. I'd have more faith in buying a pair gloves at Wal-Mart at this point.
They were warm though for the whole 4 days that they lasted without any holes in them.
Y'all said you had a lot of complaints about the products being made in China so you switched manufacturers. And every has been garbage since then. At least the stuff that was made in China was made well. You can thank the new manufacturer for losing you customers. After this last purchase I can say with certainty that I'll NEVER purchase another item from Minus33
We’re really sorry to hear about your experience, and we appreciate you taking the time to share such detailed feedback, even though we know it came from a frustrating place.
This isn’t the durability or performance we expect from our gear, and it’s absolutely not acceptable that the liners developed holes after such limited use. While we’re glad to hear they provided warmth initially, we understand that doesn’t make up for the disappointment and inconvenience you experienced.
We have initiated a full refund for your order of these gloves. While we know that doesn’t undo the frustration, we hope it helps acknowledge that we stand behind our products and our customers when something falls short.
Your comments about quality and manufacturing are taken seriously and are being shared with our product and sourcing teams. Feedback like yours, especially when it’s this specific, is critical for helping us identify and correct issues.
We’re genuinely sorry to have lost your trust, and we regret that this experience led you to feel this way about Minus33. Thank you again for your honesty and for giving us the opportunity to make this right financially, even if we couldn’t meet your expectations this time.

Perfect fit and good quality material. For them being wool they are very soft but very thin, I can only assume that is so you can put gloves over them. For me they are a good value and will buy again.
With winter coming I wanted some new light weight gloves. I was hoping to wear them as a light glove alone, or under other gloves when it's really cold outside. These gloves are perfect for that use, they are super soft and comfortable and just the right amount of warmth for a light glove or layering under other gloves as they are super light weight and thin. The Merino Wool is really soft and seems remarkably strong, plus so far they don't easily get pulls in them.I have really large hands, so I was concerned these might not be big enough. I ordered the XL, hoping they would fit, and they are great. A lot of gloves have too short of fingers or just are not big enough, but these fit me really well. The grip dots on the gloves I don't love, and don't really understand, but they don't bother me and don't really detract overall from the gloves. That said, the touch screen fingertips on the thumb and index finger work super well with the screen on my samsung phone so I can use the phone without taking the gloves off.I definitely really like these and recommend them. They might be a bit more refined looking without the grip dots, but they still look great and are soft, warm and comfortable. Plus they fit well for larger hands!
These Minus33 Merino Wool gloves are the kind you put on once and suddenly wonder why you ever settled for the cheap, itchy pairs before. The 100% merino wool makes them warm but not bulky, so you can still wiggle your fingers, grip things, and not feel like you’re wearing oven mitts. They’re breathable too, which means your hands stay cozy without turning into little sweat saunas.I love that they’re touchscreen compatible because nothing makes me feel older than standing in the cold, jabbing at my phone with frozen fingers just to answer a text. These actually work, no drama. The added grip is a thoughtful touch too; whether I’m holding my coffee, car keys, or phone, I’m not worried about dropping things. They also double as liners if you live somewhere with truly brutal winters, but on their own, they’re perfect for errands, walks, or even an evening outside. They feel snug without being restrictive, and they wash up nicely without losing their shape.Would I recommend them? Definitely. They cost a bit more than a drugstore pair, but you’re getting real durability, comfort, and performance. To me, that’s worth it, especially for gloves you’ll actually want to wear.
This is a review for the 100% Merino Wool Gloves - Touchscreen Compatible - Grip Support - Thermal Moisture Wicking Glove LinersPROS: I LOVE merino wool; it is so lightweight, breathable, and soft, yet warm -- great for layering. I already own a beanie and a neck gaiter from Minus33 that I bought last year during a miserable cold snap and I adore them. And therefore expected high quality from these 100% merino wool gloves, and they did not disappoint. Use the size chart in the listing (get a palm circumference -- measure all the way around your palm, in the middle of your hand) and you'll get a great fit. These are thin enough I can still use (even type!) on my smartphone with them on, but I have no question they will be warm; they can be worn alone or layered under heavier insulated gloves/mittens as a base layer when it's bitterly cold out. There are little silicone dots for grippiness on the palms -- these are sticky but not crazy, annoyingly so. Great seams, all sewn well. No itchiness, very soft and nice. I could not be happier. The price is reasonable for 100% merino gloves. This is an investment, but will work and last beautifully. Would make a great gift.CONS: none

The gloves are stitched well. They’re lightweight and good quality. I am able to use touchscreen devices with both of my thumbs and index fingers. They work great. I always wear a large in gloves. They fit but are on the loose side. They fit like stretched out underwear… when they’re there but not supporting. Wish they were more fitted. Overall, they’re comfortable and will work out great for early fall.
I was curious to test these 100% Merino Wool Gloves. I would love to see a certificate for the wool’s authenticity first of all.. but i must admit im very happy with these. What impressed me most was the moisture-wicking capability. It keeps my hands dry even during sweaty workouts, which is a game-changer. The touchscreen compatibility is another highlight, since the thumb and index finger work seamlessly with my phone for quick checks on the trail. I also found the grip support solid, as it provides enough traction for most needs. However, the size was a letdown—it isn’t as big as I was expecting, which makes them feel a bit snug on my larger hands. In summary, I give these a 4/5. A great pick for active folks needing lightweight, warm liners.

Gloves fit well. Are true to size. Have worn them in freezing weather, below 30, and hands feel warm. Grips really are helpful.
Easy on easy off feel awesome
Love these gloves! Kept my hands just warm enough in cold NY weather. The touchscreen fingers were tricky at first, but it may have been just the way the gloves were on my hands.
I purchased these to use as liners for my medium weight winter running gloves. They are thinner than some of the other Minus 33 glove liners, which I needed to not make the outer glove too tight, to prevent restricting blood flow, resulting in cold hands. Mission accomplished. This is the third pair of Minus 33 glove liners I own, each fills its role quite well. One of the thicker pairs is used as light weight running gloves, another is used as a liner for my medium weight mittens. Like the others, this pair is very comfortable and works to keep my hands warm in cold weather. The sizing is accurate, I fall on the border of medium or large gloves and these fit exactly as expected (large), unlike some other brands that tend to run smaller than the listed size.Minus 33 has never disappointed me, I own headbands, hats and balaclavas, as well as the glove liners. The merino wool doesn't scratch and it can be thrown in the washing machine and quickly air dries. Very practical and worth every penny.
Great liner gloves for up here in the upper peninsula of Michigan
Misleading online description. Package says they are liner gloves which is probably why they are super thin. But true liner gloves don’t have all the little gripping **** on the palms like these gloves. Plus, they look like a pair of work gloves—definitely not gift-able. Don’t know if they work touchscreen-wise as I was so disgusted with their appearance that I put them back in the shipping bag.One star as they felt warm for the very brief time they were on my hands.
Good quality
Warm for a liner
Dexterity and ability to hold weapon and check text messages
Thin and warm gloves. I used these gloves to bow hunt 5-6 days a week for the past month. After about two weeks of use, several of the fingers ripped open. I still wear the gloves as a liner under my heavyweight wool gloves, but their time has come to an end. I’m buying another brand hoping for longer durability.Overall an excellent lightweight glove or glove liner for hunting. But don’t expect the gloves to last long after heavy use in the bush. Thorns, bark, and other stuff will destroy the material.
Great quality and works well.
Very warm easy to pick items up.
Thank you for leaving a review for our 100% Merino Wool Grip Glove Liners. We are so glad to hear that you find them very warm and easy to use for picking up items. We strive to provide high-quality products that make our customers' lives easier. Thank you for choosing our product!
These gloves are comfortable and fits well. It has something on the tips so I can still use my phone screen and don't need to take them off. The wool doesn't feel scratchy or anything, and it does a great job at keeping my hands warm.It does feel a bit thick but in a good way, I like these gloves and recommend them
