Gear Junkie interviews Minus33 President Lawson Glidden

Minus33 was recently featured in a GearJunkie article focused on the rising costs of merino wool. Lawson Glidden, the current President of Minus33, spoke on despite the increasing cost of the specialty fiber, many people chose it because of its performance and comfort. 

“Wool is pretty expensive. A huge amount of the price is just charging for the wool,” Glidden said. “It’s a little bit of a barrier to entry. But when you think about the plastics in your blood, you start considering it more.”

Author Andrew McLemore wrote on why performance wool is favored over synthetic materials. Merino wool has thermoregulation, moisture-wicking, and odor resistance. The article also highlighted Glidden’s knowledge of the global supply chain surrounding merino wool and the predicted challenges.
