Gear Junkie highlights baselayer donation program

Gear Junkie recently covered Minus33’s Search and Rescue baselayer donation program in a feature article.

“Minus33 distributes kits to over 200 partner organizations, including mountain rescue teams and state fish & wildlife agencies, so first responders can apply a full head-to-toe warming base-layer system to a patient during emergencies”

Author Sean McCoy wrote about the donation process. To begin, Minus33 accepts gently used baselayers and garments from any brand that contain at least 50% merino wool. Next, consumers request a free shipping label to transport their garments to the headquarters in New Hampshire. Then, the baselayers are cleaned and transformed into SAR Kits. Finally, consumers receive 25% off their next purchase. Search and Rescue groups have been supported by Minus33 since 2017.
