These appear to run a little large, so don’t size up even if you’re looking for a little extra room. For me, the trigger design is the way to go. It is just the right balance between the warmth of a mitten and the dexterity of a glove. These feel nice on the inside, but aren’t quite as form-fitting as my Hestras. Those break in like a favorite shoe over time. I don’t expect these to do that to the same extent. But, for the price, I can’t complain too much.

I recently purchased a set of winter mittens from Minus33 Merino Wool, and they have been fantastic for cold weather. The real wool lining provides incredible warmth, while the leather outer layer adds durability and protection against wind and snow. I really appreciate the long cuff design, which prevents snow from getting between my wrist and hand. The three-finger design is a great feature—it gives me better dexterity than traditional mittens while still keeping my fingers much warmer than standard gloves. They are well-made, comfortable, and perfect for harsh winter conditions. Definitely a great investment for staying warm!

These are not just the ultimate winter activities gloves, but they are ultra stylish at the same time. Wool trigger finger mittens... go hard!!!! Uber warm in the inside keeping my hands warm with the ability to operate my phone and other needed things effortlessly. The black with tan details is a nice classic combination that I appreciate. Wool and Leather!!! My first time with a three-finger mitten honestly and I am absolutely loving this style and all of the features and details. Highly recommend if for winter sports/activities and also if it just to keep your hands warm in the winter.

Certainly the best pair of mittens I've ever owned, the materials used are top notch, the mittens are cozy and roomy, and they are flexible enough that you can do anything with these that you can with a glove. No odor to speak of, and they seem pretty durable (which is important since at this price point these are an investment in your winter sports happiness). Am looking forward to seeing what difference they will make on the slopes handling a ski pole or taking a fall compared to gloves. They seem nice and warm while walking dogs in my current 9 degree weather, and I was surprised how much room I had to wiggle my fingers in there. There isn't an overload of insulation or anything, so the poly/wool lining is a lot thinner and you have a lot more feeling and control than if you were dealing with the bulk of a winter ski type glove. The phone patch on the finger works fine, but as with anything bulkier than a driving glove you'll be just using basic functions. All in all these are really nice mittens though, and for extreme winter sports these should be great.

Although these mittens are expensive, they work extremely well. Mittens keep my fingers warmer than finger gloves, but you lose dexterity with mittens. These are a great combination. The smaller fingers share warmth and the index finger is free. That makes them very practical when you have to hold something in the cold like a pole or a shovel. The mittens are large and cover well past your wrists. Easy to get on and off and they have a wrist strap to keep you from losing them.

Keeps hands nice and warm and are as described so 4 stars.

Very warm and great for snowboarding/ cold weather. I wanted to retire my Burton snowboarding gloves and was shopping around. minus33 has good reviews on their products and these gloves were no exception. They're warm and stay dry when getting covered in snow. I like how they go past my sleeves and the wrist wraps are great to keep track of them when they're off your hands!

i've had these all of one day but for xc skiing in 12 degree weather they worked fine. I like the dexterity allowed by the 3 finger design, and my index fingers stayed warm enough, which surprised me. the stitching is neat and strong looking, and the fit is perfect for a 'plunge mit'. easy on/easy off. of course I can't yet speak to durability but w leather in the right places, I imagine even rough work like handling firewood should pose little risk.

The Minus33 Merino Wool Trigger Finger Mittens are perfect for cold weather, especially if you need to use your fingers. The wool feels soft and warm, and the three-finger design lets you maintain dexterity while keeping your hands toasty. My only issue is that they can get a bit tight if you have larger hands, but otherwise, they’re a solid buy.

These snowboarding mitts are very very well made. They are made of high quality materials and are very nicely sewn. The inside is very comfortable and they do a great job of keeping my hands warm and the snow out. They are also fairly easy to maintain and durable. I really like them and would recommend them to others who enjoy snowboarding or skiing.

This design is great for ski or snowboarding - the wrist straps make it so you can easily pull these off to do something without worrying about them falling off the lift. Super warm gloves as well, I am happy with these.

I really like these mittens. They're warmer than gloves and make it easy to actually do things since your index finger is separate. Unfortunately, the size chart is way off. I have an 8.25" palm circumference. I usually need gloves and mittens in a size Large, but based on my palm size I ordered a medium. They are way too big. My hands are swimming in them, and it makes them more difficult to use.I'd suggest getting a size down.

I love these gloves! The three finger style is *perfect* for me. I know mittens are warmer than gloves, but I always end up taking them off when outside because I need a finger or two. Now I can do most tasks without taking these gloves off.I like the built-in leashes. The few times I did need to take a glove off, I didn’t have to hold it or put it somewhere. I like that Minus33 includes the leashes and didn’t make them an add-on.The gloves are warm, and kept my hands warm during three hours of snow blowing and shoveling. I usually layer gloves for extra warmth. This time, I wore only these gloves, and my hands were toasty warm.

These are nice quality material and craftsmanship. The leather is really nice quality and they haver suede thumbs to wipe your goggles or nose. They have an internal wrist strap so you can take them off on the lift and not drop them. They have powder cuffs with drawstring closures and quick release pull tabs to loosen the cuffs quickly. they also have a wrist strap to tighten down to make sure the snow stays out. Merino wool lined to wick away moisture and keep you warm.They do run big. I usually wear and XL but could have gotten a large.

These are the warmest gloves I have ever had! All my previous gloves, no matter the brand, would leave my fingertips freezing and painful, especially when skiing. With these gloves, my fingers stay nice and warm even in temperatures below 10 degrees. I’ve used them for shoveling snow and skiing, and they work perfectly in both situations. The material is breathable yet keeps the warmth locked in. The only thing I regret is not ordering a smaller size because they are a bit big for my hands. Overall, these gloves are amazing and worth every penny!

I wore these this morning shoveling for about 40 minutes in 10-degree weather. My hands never felt cold, and I was able to use the shovel more easily than with normal mittens. I was also able to unscrew/**** the top of the bird feeder without taking them off, which was great. Now, I can't say I would ever fork over $170 for these for my usage. If you're a frequent skier/snowboarder, these would be great. The loops to keep them on your wrists if you yard sale it on the mountain, the ability to zip/unzip with the mittens on...that's awesome. For me, I'd save $100+ buying nice mittens and put some running gloves on underneath since I rarely need the dexterity of my thumb and forefinger when I am wearing mittens.

There are so many reasons I wanted to love these gloves! The brand is good and gaining traction for a reason. My favorite merino wool hat is from them and It's been great for YEARS. The materials and philosophy of these gloves is exactly what I look for. My 5-finger ski gloves are Hestra just to give context for the perspective I'm bringing here. It takes a lot for my to give a 5-star review but 4-star is still quite good. Here are my pros/cons on these particular gloves.Pros- Great materials and build quality- Well designed from (especially the wrist cinches & lanyards)- Warm (so far I've worn them on sub 10deg F days with no liners and they held up well)- Breathable (don't seem to sweat in them)- Lightweight... At first I was concerned that they were too light and therefore wouldn't be warm but it speaks to the quality of the materials and insulation.Cons- Fit isn't great. This is the largest drawback for me as I should've been sized for a L based on the sizing guide but they're a bit loose for my taste. This could be intentional but I appreciate top level dexterity so a tighter fit- On the higher end of price. They're worth the $$ and a good value but not an outstanding value by any means.Overall recommended. Just make sure you get the sizing right.

These are very nice high quality mittens. Soft and durable. They fit well and don’t impede my dexterity at all! Love the draw string at the wrist/arm area so that I can ensure there is no open areas for snow or cold to get in. Very well made so I’d definitely recommend these to others!

I was a little skeptical about how useful these kinds of mittens would be. I don’t ski, but recognize the potential efficacy of kind of the best of both worlds – bridging the gap between mittens and gloves. Well, these are very comfortable. While I haven’t tested them in extremely cold temperatures, I have no reason to believe that they won’t perform very well. They appear to be beautifully made, and I would imagine their durability is excellent. The one minor annoyance for me is that I overestimated the size. I have quite large hands, so I assumed that extra large would be the size for me. Well, they really are big, and my hands don’t quite swim, but they definitely should fit a little more snugly, in order to be the most effective. I’m a little bummed about that. I definitely could have done with the large size instead of the extra large size, but that’s really my fault. Now, are these gloves worth the price that is commanded? Well that’s another question altogether. To me, while nice, they don’t seem to be worth all that money. But I’m also not a skier, so maybe this is just what these sorts of things cost. But, that also might be something to consider. Other than that, I’m very pleased with these and excited to try them out in real-world conditions.

I've been using these Minus33 Trigger Finger Mittens for a two weeks now, and I'm really happy with them. We have had a terrible cold snap where I am and I got these just in the nick of time. The fact I like to spend time outdoors as well (walking, shoveling, skiing, etc) influenced my decision. They're incredibly warm and comfortable, even in the coldest weather thanks the layer of merlino wool. I love the trigger finger design and the fact they are compatible with using your touchscreen tech. It gives me a lot of dexterity for handling your other gear and adjusting zippers, straps, hats, etc. Also nice that they have loops you can put around your forearms so you can't lose them. And the fact they're made right here in the USA, amazing! I highly recommend these mittens to anyone who spends a lot of time outdoors in the winter in super cold conditions!

I will say these Three Finger Mittens will keep your hands warm. Truth be told, I don't ski or snowboard...I was looking for a pair of mittens that would keep my hands warm. Mittens in general will keep your hands warmer than gloves in cold weather but they are restricting as you will lose dexterity. The "3 finger mitten" attempts to improve your dexerity while still having the warm benefit of a mitten.....it does work. My hands were kept pretty warm in 28 degree weather (10 with the windchill). They run a bit large but the size chart is close and I would use it to guide your size purchase. Each mitten has a "leash" to put on your wrist to prevent you from losing them when you take them off....which unfortunately you will need to do if you want to use your phone (the reason for the 3 stars). Claimed as "touch screen compatible".....not even close. Very inconsistent is an understatement......you will become exasperated rather quickly when you try to use your phone while wearing them. Lastly, the price....at $169.99, these are quite pricy....let me rephrase that..they are ridiculously expensive for what you get (the other reason for the 3 stars). Hard to recommend

Really like the mittens. The construction is very good, and will be very durable. THe inside is soft and very comfortable. THe material is a lot thinner than I expected, but provides a lot of warmth. The smart phone finger works as good as any I have tried, which is poorly. You can usually get a swipe in on the phone, but forget about accurately opening apps or typing. Overall I really like the gloves, and will use them a lot this winter snowboarding, shoveling snow, or just playing with the kids.
