Karbon Telemark National Championships (FIS) – Crotched Mountain, NH
This three day event at Crotched Mountain Resort, NH is open to all levels of Telemark skiers. We have a race category for men and women Citizens, Juniors and Experts. Join us for one day or all three. This will be a FIS points race for those expert competitors holding a FIS license. This is the highlight of the season, so put it on your calendar now!
Waterville Valley, NH – 2 Sprint Classic Races
This is the 2nd and final weekend of racing in the Minus33 Eastern Telemark Series. There will be two days of racing with a Sprint Classic held both February 24 and February 25. Minus33 is the title sponsor of this race as well as the entire Eastern Series. As a Gold Level sponsor, they keep our athletes warm with their merino wool layers.

The United States Telemark Ski Association (USTSA) announced the rosters for the 2017-2018 US Telemark Teams. There are three team levels with three top racers named to the A Team.

It was another beautiful day at Grand Targhee Resort, located just west of the famed Grand Teton. Over 40 adult competitors descended upon the day one venue to test their Telemark skills against the best in the world. Ideal conditions for a competition included clear skies, no wind, and snow that was slightly firm with some leftover soft from the past storm cycle. “Everyone rose to the occasion with big line scores,” said USTSA Freeskiing Director J.T. Robinson. “I was buzzing with excitement with how good everyone was skiing today.”

Lifestyle brand Freeheel Life announced today that March 2-5, 2017 will be the dates for it’s signature event the Freeheel Life Cup at Grand Targhee Resort. What is Telemark Racing?
Telemark skiing is named after the Telemark region of Norway where the sport was first performed. It is believed that Sondre Norheim pioneered the Telemark turn in ski races, starting in about 1868. The discipline is characterized by a ski turn where the inside ski is drawn back under the skier and the heels are free to lift off of the ski.
